Munich-Moosach: Police stop motorcyclists fleeing – Munich

Driving without a license, forging documents, resisting police officers: This is just part of the list of charges that await a 24-year-old from Munich after he tried to escape from a police checkpoint.

The man drove to a gas station in Moosach on Thursday around 6 p.m. There he met an acquaintance who warned him: the police were in the gas station and he was being checked. The 24-year-old then accelerated on his Yamaha and tried to drive away. He drove over a curb, hit a trash can and knocked down a passerby who happened to be passing by.

The man tried to escape on foot, but was caught by the police. It turned out that he no longer has a driver’s license, that the motorcycle was technically tampered with and not insured, and that the license plates were not valid. Now the traffic police are investigating.
