With deposit machines, you usually only pay attention to whether they work and whether they are full or empty. And for a long time it wasn’t much different with Maximilian Kirmse either. But then there was this very special light, like the Berlin artist on the day of the opening of his exhibition “Berlin Mon Amour” in the State Graphic Collection in the Munich Pinakothek der Moderne. And at that moment he knew: He absolutely had to draw or paint the deposit machine.
