Maximilian Bungarten receives the Katja Eichinger Screenplay Grant 2022. The award, which is endowed with 4000 euros and has been awarded for the fourth time, is intended to support the HFF documentary film student in writing a screenplay. Specifically, Bungarten’s teenage story “In the Fangs of the Bumper Car” is to be promoted, with which he will complete his studies. The jury, consisting of Eichinger, HFF professor Michael Gutmann and filmmaker Jovana Reisinger, praised “how coherently the topic, narrative style and artistic vision fit together. The film’s narrative has an appeal that clearly shows the talent of the film author. A film that we would very much like to see”.
