According to the police on Tuesday night in Ramersdorf, a 35-year-old tried to snatch the mobile phone from the passenger of a stationary car through the open side window while passing by – but encountered resistance. When three other passengers got out and held the man, the suspect hit the interior several times and hit the 23-year-old passenger in the face and slightly injured him. A passerby had meanwhile pressed the emergency call.
The 35-year-old also resisted the arrest and blocked himself from being tied up, the police reported. He also spat around and insulted two officers when driving to the police station. The man is already known to the police for violent crimes in the Berlin area. On Wednesday, an investigating judge issued an arrest warrant.
