Munich: Man shows Hitler salute in Maxvorstadt and threatens passers-by – Munich

A right-wing perpetrator threatened a woman in Munich’s Sandstrasse on Saturday. The 41-year-old had previously shown the Hitler salute and shouted Nazi slogans. When the woman objected, the perpetrator threatened to beat her, according to the police.

The incident happened around 2:10 p.m. on Saturday. The 30-year-old woman from Munich then immediately called the police emergency number 110. The 41-year-old suspect without a permanent address was arrested after a search in the immediate vicinity. He was charged with using signs of unconstitutional organizations and with threats.

Almost 30 attacks with a right-wing background have been reported by the Munich security authorities so far this year. Last year, the police registered 52 right-wing violent crimes and a further 20 crimes from this spectrum that were prosecuted as coercion or threats.
