Eight years after the body of 36-year-old Diana S. was found in a row house. (name changed) was found, the 1st jury chamber at the Munich I Regional Court sentenced her husband Srecko S. to life imprisonment for murder with base motives. Every detail, every statement and every report was examined and in the end “a clear overall picture emerged,” said presiding judge Elisabeth Ehrl. “The hypothesis of a possible accident or suicide is therefore off the table,” she explained. After an appeal at the Federal Court of Justice (BGH), the case was referred back to the regional court for a new hearing.
