A man fell onto the tracks of the Munich subway and was hit by an incoming train. The 50-year-old was rescued by firefighters and taken to a hospital, as reported by the Munich fire department on Thursday. The man apparently stumbled on the platform on Wednesday and fell near the tracks.
Fortunately, he was mostly in the security zone under the platform of the Lehel underground station, it said. He was therefore only slightly caught by the subway line 4. The driver saw the man and initiated an emergency stop. It was not immediately known how badly the 50-year-old was injured.
