On Sunday, Miriam Meyer, 30, just wanted to sit in the sun and “enjoy the freedom,” as she says. The climate activist of the “last generation” had spent almost three weeks in the Stadelheim correctional facility (JVA). 21 hours a day in a solitary cell – the three hours of outdoor exercise were scheduled so early in the morning, separated from the other imprisoned women, that the sun was not yet up. One day after her release, the woman from Schleswig-Holstein says: “I will definitely continue. And I risk ending up in prison again.”
