Munich-Laim: Six injured in a fire in a dormitory – Munich

Six residents of a house for assisted living in Laim were injured in a fire. A mattress in an apartment caught fire, the fire department said. More than 20 people were rescued on Saturday. The resident of the apartment was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Five others suffered from mild smoke inhalation and were also treated in the clinic.

There was also a fire in Schwabing on Sunday night – and a man probably saved his neighbor’s life. The fire broke out on the balcony. The sleeping couple was woken up by the neighbor and taken outside. The residents of the house reported the fire, which had already spread to the apartment and the balcony above. When firefighters arrived, the building had already been evacuated. Nobody got hurt. The couple’s home is no longer habitable. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are still unclear in both cases.
