Munich: Julya Rabinowich reads from her new young adult novel – Munich

For six years, the writer Julya Rabinowich sat opposite refugees during therapy sessions and simultaneously translated their experiences of violence. The in-depth discussions gave rise to the idea for “The Smell of Soot and Roses”, the third part of her youth book series about the story of the young displaced woman Medina. Rabinowich, who fled the Soviet Union to Austria in 1977, is reading from her new book on the “Colorful Culture Sofa” in the Immanuel Church as part of the book bazaar.

Julya Rabinowich reads from “The Smell of Soot and Roses”, Friday, December 1st, 6 p.m., Immanuelkirche, Allensteiner Straße 9
