New name, new structure, new momentum: The Natural History Museum of Bavaria is to be built at Nymphenburg Castle – instead of the Biotopia project previously planned there.
Biotopia is dead. Opponents and some discouraged supporters have already been certain of this in recent months. But now the turning point in the dispute that has been going on for years over the ambitious project on the Nymphenburg Palace site seems to have come. Art and Science Minister Markus Blume (CSU) presented a new concept for this in the Bavarian Cabinet on Tuesday. Immediately after the election, it will be submitted to the newly constituted Budget Committee for approval, thus forming the next step in the “cultural cascade” initiated by Blume.
