Folk wisdom thrives between beds and accompanying greenery, flowering meadows and balcony botany. “Only the tough get into the garden” is a common saying. This refers to plants that survive the German winter unscathed. In the meantime, however, such hobby gardening instructions are in need of supplementation. Because for a long time it has also been about making the vegetation resilient for the summer months – against drought, heat, heavy rain and storms.
