The International Motor Show in Munich is over – and everyone involved agrees: it went well. The automobile industry association exudes a good mood, protest groups are pleased with the great response, and the police praise their own level-headedness.
The IAA motor show is over and all relevant players are satisfied. The Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) as organizer, the city as host, the climate activists and also the police – everyone pats themselves on the back and certifies: well done. Beyond this, however, the old conflicts between the auto industry and the climate movement remain, and questions arise about the proportionality of the police deployment.
