Hardly any topic of urban development polarizes in Munich as much as the construction of high-rise buildings. The planned 155-meter twin towers at the parcel post hall are particularly in focus. On Friday, the city presented a report on the construction project prepared by citizens, in which they spoke out in favor of the high-rise buildings, but also demanded that the district should be built as sustainably as possible. Thomas Auer, 57, is a professor of building technology and climate-friendly construction at the Technical University of Munich and has been working on high-rise buildings for many years.
