Dominik Krause is set to become Munich’s second mayor. Some people ask themselves: How is it supposed to work, a team consisting of a rider and him? And Krause points out that as mayor he doesn’t just have to work for the Greens.
The sentences are only a month old, but they were remarkably clear back then. But now they appear again in a new light. “We have the feeling that he is following the grand coalition from the last term in office,” said Dominik Krause, parliamentary group leader of the Greens/Pink List in the town hall, at the beginning of September about Mayor Dieter Reiter (SPD). He only takes care of one of many topics, housing, “he doesn’t appear on the others.” At that time, Krause and his co-parliamentary group leader Mona Fuchs gave vent to long-held resentment about Reiter and his – from their point of view – lack of interest in the green-red coalition. “We would also like to have the Mayor on board again.”
