Munich: House for children in Haidhausen is about to close – Munich

The senior citizens’ home of the insolvent St. Josefs Association in Haidhausen has already had to close, and now the house for children is threatened with the same fate. The parents hope that a new provider will take over the facility – but time is running out.

If you walk over to the daycare center from the main entrance of the St. Josefs Home on Preysingstrasse, you will experience a short walk in Munich’s best location – it doesn’t get much nicer than that in Haidhausen. First go to Preysingplatz, go all the way down to the other side and then a short distance into Eggernstrasse. There is a poster hanging on the facade of the children’s house. “We want to stay,” it says. But the same applies to the little ones as to everyone else who was and is still being cared for here: if things continue as they look at the moment, then they have to go out.
