It’s usually fathers who clash at their sons’ soccer games, but on Saturday evening, for once, mothers of young athletes bickered, appropriately at a martial arts event in Haidhausen. In the end, a 36-year-old woman from Munich was taken to the hospital with a suspected fracture in her face. The woman probably got hit with a fist, the police are still investigating the exact course of events. A total of around 20 people were involved in the brawl, including a child.
The trigger was probably a 31-year-old woman from Munich who had complained about a boy’s dealings with her son at a boxing tournament for children. This developed into a verbal argument, in which at first mostly women, but later also men, got involved. After the dispute had shifted from the hall to the street, several people became violent.
Uninvolved witnesses then informed the police, who approached with more than ten patrol cars and settled the dispute. Commissariat 26, which is responsible for violent crime, is now investigating who exactly contributed what to the brawl.
