The hip-hop scene in Munich is small, which is another reason why it is difficult for young musicians to get started. Gündalein and ESC Rilla are now providing start-up help – with a rap academy in Bellevue di Monaco.
Everyone sits in the front row. At first glance it looks like a diverse class – children, teenagers, young adults. But the six students are united by one passion: they came to learn to rap. A boy with blonde curls wears a purple beanie hat, braces and a T-shirt that says “I’m Crazy.” On the back there is a large black and white photo of the Munich musician Gündalein. And this same singer is now standing in front of the boy.
