There was a discussion among young people on Saturday night in Ramersdorf that ended in blood. According to the Munich police, two 15-year-olds wanted to settle their argument at the Karl-Preis-Platz subway station around 10:45 p.m. But instead of a peace agreement, there was a physical altercation.
One of the girls had two companions with her, a 40-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl. When the 15-year-old, who had come to the meeting alone, was physically attacked and fell to the ground, she suddenly pulled out a knife and tried to attack the other 15-year-old. When the 40-year-old companion noticed this, he kicked the young person. The other two girls also hit the 15-year-old as she lay on the ground. She then stabbed the man in the thigh.
When the three finally let go of the 15-year-old, they fled, but were arrested by the police a short time later. The teenager lying on the ground was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Her jaw was broken, she also had a broken finger and bruises all over her body. The 40-year-old man was also taken to a clinic in an ambulance, but has since been able to leave.
All four people involved have already been noticed several times and are known to the police. The man already has more than 40 entries in his record and has already been in prison. There is no family connection to the 15-year-old he accompanied. The three young people also have numerous entries in their police files. The background to the dispute is currently unknown. All those involved are now being investigated for grievous bodily harm.
The case is one of a number of acts of violence among minors in the recent past. The Munich police are recording a sharp increase: Last year there were 4,500 violent crimes among young people – an increase of 29 percent compared to the previous year. Before the corona pandemic, almost 14 percent of all violent perpetrators were minors. In 2022 it was already around 20 percent.
