You can tell that the wonderful Austrian band has a tendency towards the melancholic and slightly morbid Vienna Rest in Peace already from the name. The fact that her most recent work, the “Album for the Youth”, was released on the grief records label fits into the picture. And her current tour, the Vienna Rest in Peace together with the FM4 presenter Fritz Ostermayer Munich Import Export is called: “The Last – Farewell Tour 2023”.
Luckily the band only called it that as a precaution. Because you never know. The “Album for Youth” is inspired by Robert Schumann’s piano cycle of the same name. He also appears in the great title track as, well, a sad figure. Fritz Ostermayer, in turn, will read from his unfinished autobiography between the songs.
