Munich: freight train must brake after throwing stones – Munich

In Munich, unknown persons threw stones at a moving freight train and damaged the locomotive. The 34-year-old engine driver therefore had to initiate emergency braking at around 90 km/h early Tuesday evening, the federal police reported on Wednesday.

The windscreen of the train was cracked in two places after the stones were thrown and had to be replaced. Police believe children threw the stones.

The perpetrators have not yet been found. The Federal Police Inspectorate in Munich is investigating dangerous interventions in rail traffic and property damage.
