Munich: Fragments Of Sonic Extinction, a festival – Munich

Around 150 species become extinct every day. A tragedy also associated with the loss of sounds. Creating an awareness of this is the goal behind “Fragments Of Sonic Extinction”. A sound art online project by the Munich artist Kalas Liebfried, which he launched last year together with international artists www.sonicextinction.net has started.

The second part of the sound art project is going online these days, which includes contributions on the wobbling dance of bees or the disappearance of black rhinos in East Africa. Accompanying the online release, a one-day festival will also take place at Zirka on May 13th. It starts at 10 a.m. with DJ sets www.radio80k.de. From 4 p.m. there are performances and workshops and from 8 p.m. concerts, including with the duo duma from Nairobi.
