Munich: Fire brigade saves young kestrels from the gutter – Munich

Firefighters rescued a young kestrel. The animal fell on Saturday morning from a height of around ten meters from its nest in the old hose tower of the Milbertshofen fire station and then landed in the gutter of the vehicle hall of the helpers who were already responsible for animal rescue, as the fire department announced on Sunday.

Some firefighters had observed the fall and set about rescuing the animal. Using a turntable ladder, they pulled the falcon out of the gutter and brought it back to its siblings in the nest. According to a spokesman, the emergency services did not find any obvious injuries in the young animal.
