Munich: fire brigade saves a cat from the 14th floor – Munich

A cat in the Olympic village caused a curious deployment of the professional fire brigade on Wednesday. She got lost on an excursion in the morning hours on the 14th floor of a high-rise building and then had to be rescued.

The cat, who lives in one of the apartments, had climbed out through a slot in a tilted window. Although the owner had installed a net in front of her window to prevent this, the pet still made it outside. When the resident noticed the absence of one of her three cats, which was sitting on a concrete ledge outside the apartment on Helene-Mayer-Ring and could not get back into the room, she called the fire brigade for help.

The crew of the alerted emergency vehicle was able to carefully catch the small runaway with the help of a landing net. She was then handed over to the owner safely.
