Munich: Fire and smoke in Club P1 – Munich

An automatic alarm system alerted the Munich fire department on Tuesday evening at 8:18 p.m.: The emergency services drove to Prinzregentenstrasse in Lehel to the P1 celebrity club. It is closed due to the current corona restrictions.

The fire-fighting team went down to the basement where the smoke detector had gone off: the drinks store was on fire. The firefighters called for reinforcements, and another fire engine responded. The burning warehouse was extinguished from two sides, after almost an hour the fire was under control and extinguished a little later, reports the Munich fire brigade.

An intense smell of smoke remained, so that fresh air had to be provided for two hours with high-performance fans. No one was injured, and according to the fire department, the property damage is in the five-digit range.

The P1 operators do not want to comment on the brand itself, but emphasize: They are sticking to their opening plans. After the corona rules were relaxed, which the cabinet is discussing, Bavaria’s clubs are allowed to open again from Friday – Munich’s discotheques are also preparing intensively for this. Therefore, on the night from Thursday to Friday, at exactly 12:01 a.m., the party should start again in the “Stüberl” of the P1.
