Munich: fight in the English Garden – Munich

Another major police operation took place in the English Garden on Wednesday evening. At around 8 p.m., passers-by reported a fight between two groups of young men on Karl-Theodor-Wiese, about 20 people were mentioned. The police then came with around 20 vehicles and around 50 officers. They were able to pick up at least a few people and determine their personal details. Among them was an 18-year-old man from Munich who had suffered a bleeding wound on his arm and head injuries; among other things, a tooth had been knocked out of him.

The police were there with a large contingent because there are always such brawls in the English Garden and officials have also been attacked. At the beginning of May an operation on the meadow near the Monopteros escalated to such an extent that 19 police officers were injured by young people throwing bottles. At that time, too, the officials were alerted about a brawl.

It is still unclear whether the argument on Wednesday was only handled with fists or also with objects. In any case, the criminal police are investigating dangerous bodily harm, provisionally against four members of one group and two of the other.

In addition, someone is wanted: about 17 years old, 1.75 meters tall, short, black hair that is shaved on the sides, mustache on the upper lip and shaved right eyebrow. The police are asking for evidence on 089-29100. Any videos or photos that have been recorded can also be uploaded via an upload portal: https://medienupload-portal02.polizei.bayern.de.
