Munich: Exhibition with international artists in Hall 6 – Munich

Nobody is an island. That’s what the British poet John Donne wrote 400 years ago in his poem of the same name. And that each of us is a part of humanity. But we sometimes forget that, as the current EU asylum law compromise shows. It is different with the exhibition and project series “No One Is An Island” in Hall 6, which focuses on exchange and understanding. The basic idea is that local artists invite international guests to Munich to work and exhibit here. Guests from countries such as Ukraine, Serbia and most recently China have already been here. Current guest artists include artists from Cameroon and Senegal.

They were invited by the artist duo Venske & Spänle, who came into contact with the Senegalese artist Corentin Faye in 2018. This formed an international group, which also includes Raphaël Christian Etongo, Yvon Ngassam and Justine Gaga from Cameroon, Jean-Marc Hunt from France and Wolfgang Aichner, Thomas Huber and Stefanie Zoche from Munich. On June 16th they will be presenting their work in Hall 6 from 7 p.m., which can then be viewed for two days on request via [email protected]. The final presentation of the entire project will follow on June 29 at 7:30 p.m. This can then be viewed on request until July 2nd.
