Housing, migration, resilience: Discussion evenings with Lars Reichardt, Heribert Prantl and Christina Berndt in Munich.

How do we want to live – and how can we live? Rents are rising and space is becoming scarce. In view of these developments, the Munich author and Journalist Lars Reichardt (SZ-Magazine) with different living models. He presents these in his book “Rooms Forever. My Search for a Place to Stay”. Whether it’s a multi-generation house or a self-sufficient village – there are plenty of concepts. Reichardt, who himself lives in a small house in the countryside in a small shared flat with changing residents, will report on this when he presents his book in the Literature House. The evening with couple therapist Wolfgang Schmidbauer will be moderated by SZ colleague Meredith Haaf.

Heribert Prantl has been dealing with flight and migration for many years. The former editor-in-chief of Süddeutsche Zeitung is also making a guest appearance at the Literaturhaus: on World Refugee Day, the editors Kristina Milz and Anja Tuckermann are presenting the joint book “Cause of Death: Flight”.which makes the extent of the catastrophe visible.

SZ science editor Christina Berndt talks about resilience: In St. Bonifaz (admission free, donations requested) the questions are, among other things: Where does mental strength come from? What is a better way to maneuver through crises and deal with stress?
