Munich: Drunk man rides on S-Bahn coupling – Munich

The federal police have caught a drunk S-Bahn surfer in Munich. The 19-year-old drove two stations, around 1,200 meters, on a hitch on Wednesday, as the police announced on Thursday. He held on to a windshield wiper and initially escaped without being recognized.

A witness recorded a video of the S-Bahn surfer. Officials recognized the 19-year-old in the evening at the main train station, where he is said to have harassed travelers. He was found to have a breath alcohol level of 2.28 per mille.

As a result of the incident, there were delays, diversions and cancellations. The federal police are investigating an administrative offense under the railway construction and operating regulations. A criminal complaint for trespassing will also be filed against the teenager. According to the information, he had already been banned from the main train station in March.

The federal police warned once again of the “life-threatening nonsense”. Eight such incidents have already been reported in Munich this year, a spokesman said.
