Munich drag queen Pinay Colada gives make-up workshops – Munich

Makeup can change not only your appearance, but also your entire life. That’s how it was Pinay Colada, one of the most famous drag queens in Munich. Six years ago did Jay Miniano, 37, drag queens seen on Christopher Street Day (CSD) in Munich. He and his husband then decided to do the same. They bought make-up, put on make-up again and again to practice, and the following year they both went to the CSD as drag queens.

At that time, Miniano quit his job as a retail manager and instead taught at a private school as a make-up artist and professionalized the performances, outfits and make-up of his drag character Pinay Colada. Miniano has now become self-employed. On December 20th and 22nd, he will be giving a drag makeup workshop at the pop-up gallery “No Depression Room” at Dachauer Straße 157. “I’m bringing all the materials with me,” says Miniano, the makeup artist as an expression of his art. “My medium is not paper, but skin,” he says. “There are no limits when it comes to make-up, you can invent yourself, you can also just have fun.”
