Munich district court: stepfather admits 140 times abuse – Ebersberg

After moving out of home, she went to the police and reported her stepfather. The 60-year-old, the young woman from the northern district stated, had repeatedly sexually abused her over four years. An arrest warrant was issued against the stepfather of the now 18-year-old. Since this Friday, the building technician has to answer before the district court Munich II. The prosecution charged him with sexual abuse of children in a total of 142 cases. In two cases, the 60-year-old is also said to have been guilty of serious sexual abuse of his stepdaughter. The mother of the alleged victim is still married to the accused – although the accused made a comprehensive confession at the start of the hearing and all of the accusations on the indictment admitted. When the presiding judge Regina Holstein asked how he imagined his future, the 60-year-old replied: “I would like to enjoy my life, if I can still see something of the world.” And then, added the building technician, he would like to “grow old” with his “wife.”

The mother supposedly did not notice anything

The alleged victim’s wife moved in with the building technician in 2011. Until then, she lived with another man. Allegedly he had thrown her out of his apartment. The relationship with the mother of the now 18-year-old was initially a “relationship of convenience,” said the 60-year-old during his interrogation. “Love came later.” The wedding took place in October 2016. “On Halloween,” said the defendant. In the previous years, from September 2011 to September 2015, the 60-year-old is said to have repeatedly sexually abused the child, who was then under 14, according to investigations by the public prosecutor. The attacks are said to have occurred on television. The defendant is said to have told his stepdaughter that she should “cuddle” with him on the couch. Although the girl’s mother also watched TV, she is said not to have noticed any of the abuses. The 60-year-old had always covered himself and his daughter with a blanket. Out of “fear of reprisals” the child had “neither verbally nor physically resisted” his stepfather, according to the indictment.

The injured party rejects compensation for pain and suffering

After the 60-year-old was questioned, a legal discussion was held on the initiative of the defense. The chamber guaranteed the building technician a prison sentence of between four and five years in the event of a comprehensive confession. In addition, the defendant has agreed to pay his stepdaughter 5000 euros as part of a so-called perpetrator-victim compensation. But the 18-year-old does not want to accept the money, as her lawyer Claudia Enghofer said. The young woman had the feeling that her stepfather was trying to “buy himself out” in this way. The 18-year-old is spared a testimony in court because of her stepfather’s confession. Her client, said lawyer Enghofer on the sidelines of the trial, had recently started therapy in which she would deal with the sexual assault and certainly also the “problematic role” of her mother. The 18-year-old, according to her lawyer, believes that her mother heard something of the abuse. A verdict in the process is due to be announced in the coming week.
