Munich at its liveliest? You can probably experience it at lunchtime in the southern Bahnhofsviertel, for example on the corner of Landwehrstrasse and Goethestrasse. People are carrying shopping bags, loading things into cars, someone somewhere is honking. And inside at “Hindukush”, an Afghan restaurant, it’s hard to get a seat. Only next door at the theater community, Goethestrasse 24, is there peace, the shop windows are covered with posters that read “Theater Love, Tips and Tickets.” The opening times for the ticket office are marked out with adhesive tape on the entrance door.
