Munich: Discussion on anti-Semitism in art and culture – Munich

Last year, Munich also had a major controversy surrounding the production of “The Birds” at the Metropoltheater, which was accused of anti-Semitism. There were also public discussions, in which, for example, the cultural and literary scholar Stella Leder took part, who edited the anthology “Beyond suspicion? Anti-Semitism in art and culture”.

Leder will now take part in another panel discussion, this time in the Volkstheater. The title is: “Anti-Semitism (criticism) in art and culture. Raise awareness – broaden perspectives – avoid exclusions”. Also on the stage are Barbara Mundel, director of the Munich Kammerspiele, and Christian Stückl, director of the Munich Volkstheater and director of the Oberammergau Passion Play.
