It was not until April 23 that a 46-year-old man died in a fall on the Harras subway platform. According to the police, he had made a phone call and overlooked the edge of the platform in front of an incoming U6. In September 2021, an S-Bahn in Berg am Laim hit and fatally injured a 29-year-old railway employee crossing an S-Bahn track. According to initial police investigations, he too was probably distracted and had not heard the approaching train. In May 2019, a 13-year-old fell on the subway track while looking at his cell phone at Hohenzollernplatz. But he got away with a concussion.
