Munich: Delinquent tries to escape from police over the roof in Berg am Laim – Munich

A 32-year-old triggered a five-hour operation involving more than 15 police units and fire departments in Berg am Laim on Monday. The police wanted to execute an arrest warrant against him in the morning hours because of a previous violation of the Narcotics Act. When no one answered the doorbell, the police forced their way into the apartment in the four-story apartment building on Oedkarspitzstrasse, whereupon the 32-year-old fled through a skylight, a spokesman reported.

From there he got to the roof of a neighboring building and then jumped into an apartment via a skylight. The police located the owner and received the apartment key. The 32-year-old allowed himself to be arrested there without resistance. He is now in custody. The fire department supported the operation with a turntable ladder and a jumping mat was also set up. Several adjacent streets were completely closed.
