A jogger discovered two bodies in a forest in Waldtrudering on Sunday. According to the first information from the police, the dead are a 42-year-old man and his four-year-old son. The Munich homicide squad has started the investigation, at the moment it is assumed that there will be a homicide with subsequent suicide, said a police spokesman early on Sunday afternoon. The alleged murder weapon was also found on site, according to the police it is a “firearm”. Both bodies had gunshot wounds.
It is still unclear how long the father and his son have been dead. Since it is a heavily frequented piece of forest, it is unlikely that these have been there for a long time, said the police spokesman. The public prosecutor’s office must now decide whether the bodies should be autopsied.
