Munich: Dangerous adhesive injury – Munich

They were a couple for two months, a short summer. But when Pascal Z. (all names changed), 16, no longer felt any feelings for 15-year-old Melanie W., he broke up. Much to their displeasure. Melanie W. was not only jealous, she was planning revenge on her ex’s new girlfriend. On the afternoon of September 10, 2021, she took action at a skate park on Feldmochinger Straße when she met Pascal Z. and Nadine K. there: Melanie W. smeared superglue into her competitor’s hair. Nadine K. immediately ran to a nearby shower and let water run over her head, but it didn’t help – the glue was already set. The schoolgirl could not comb her hair for three months, some strands had to be cut off. The Kleber attack has now been heard before a youth chamber at the Munich District Court.

Judge Ludwig Kretzschmar first asked whether the matter could not be settled “peacefully” and suggested to Melanie W. a perpetrator-victim compensation. And to her sister, who was also in the dock – she is said to have distracted Nadine K. while Melanie W. put the superglue in her hair – Judge Kretzschmar said that the proceedings against her could be stopped for a fee. However, neither the two sisters nor the representative of the public prosecutor’s office agreed to this. He was convinced that the accused could be convicted of the crime.

The chairman heard four witnesses, all 16 or 17 years old, and they heavily incriminated Melanie W., who sat there all in black in a crop top and kept fighting back tears. However, it remains unclear whether her 24-year-old sister, who was also accused, was involved and distracted Nadine K. at the crucial moment. Melanie W.’s former boyfriend, who also testified, stated that he could not identify her sister one hundred percent.

After more than two hours of negotiations, the prosecutor’s plea came. For him, the case was clear: Melanie W. pressed the glue into Nadine K.’s hair and her older sister distracted the victim. The prosecutor demanded social hours for Melanie W., four months’ probation for her sister for dangerous bodily harm and a fine of 500 euros.

However, judge Ludwig Kretzschmar acquitted the 24-year-old. What she did cannot be clarified with absolute certainty. Melanie W. was found guilty of dangerous bodily harm and now has to attend consultations at the Munich bridge.
