Munich: Cyclists attacked and injured on Flaucher – Munich

When the 68-year-old wants to repair his bicycle light, there is a dispute with the group. He only notices a little later that he is injured in the upper body.

When he wanted to repair his bike light on the Flauchersteg, a 68-year-old was attacked by a group of young people on Sunday night. According to the police, he was “superficially” wounded in the chest area with a pointed or sharp-edged object.

It was just before two o’clock early Sunday morning when the man from Munich noticed that his light was not working on his way home from a bike ride. He stopped at southern Flaucher to fix it and turned on his cell phone light to do it. A little later, three young adults showed up and asked him to turn off the flashlight on his mobile phone. “They probably celebrated there,” says a police spokesman.

An argument developed in which one of the group hit the 68-year-old on the chest. The opponents separated and the cyclist continued towards Pilgersheimer Straße. Shortly before his apartment, he noticed the injury and alerted the police and emergency services. According to the current status of the investigation, the injuries are not life-threatening. Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident and are asking for information at 2910-0.
