A construction worker slipped down an embankment while carrying out earthworks with a vibrating plate and became trapped under the device. As the fire department announced on Wednesday, the 56-year-old was seriously but not life-threateningly injured in the accident on Tuesday.
When rescuing the man, the helpers received support from a crane operator who lifted the vibrating plate to the side. Because rescue from the excavation pit, which was approximately eight meters deep, proved difficult, the professional fire department’s high-altitude rescue team was called in.
