A construction worker was able to save himself in a work accident in Munich, but was still seriously injured. The 59-year-old was loading iron pillars onto a truck with a loading crane in Fröttmaning on Monday when one of the pillars fell off and fell on him, the police said on Tuesday.
The edges of the pillar cut into the man’s leg and he was pinned to the truck. He reacted quickly to the life-threatening situation and, according to the fire department, clamped his leg with a belt to stop the bleeding. An ambulance stabilized the man’s situation on the spot and then took him to a hospital.
