Munich: City considers rent guarantee for investor in case of vacancy in the wholesale market – Munich

If the city were to partially compensate for possible loss of income, it could make the construction of the new wholesale market easier. This is what the administration is proposing, and the city council will have to decide on it next week.

The construction of a new wholesale market hall by a private investor is not only questionable because of the rejection of the plans by a large part of the traders. The project is apparently so economically shaky that municipal representative Kristina Frank is considering financial commitments from the city in order to save the project. This emerges from a non-public city council proposal for the general assembly next Wednesday, the document is available to the SZ.
