A 37-year-old claimed that he was “a real Nazi.” And his dark-skinned victim – a 20-year-old native German from Aichach – had to give him his cash: “Because you don’t work anyway.” This was followed by insults with the N-word and that these people were taking jobs away from the Germans. The Munich police reported on this attempted robbery with racist justifications on Tuesday.
The attack happened on Monday evening on the Munich train station forecourt. When the 20-year-old did not comply with the demand, the perpetrator tried unsuccessfully to snatch his shoulder bag. The perpetrator then fled. After video surveillance, a 37-year-old without a fixed address was arrested by police officers in the Goethestrasse area a good two hours later.
The 37-year-old has already violated the law in 38 cases documented by the police. According to the police, he was most recently reported for resistance, insults and theft. The man was released from prison just four weeks ago. His victim suffered minor injuries to his hand and chest as a result of the robbery attempt.
