Munich Central Station: confrontation with knife and hammer – Munich

A man known to the police attacked a five-year-old opponent with a pocket knife on Wednesday morning on the mezzanine floor under Munich Central Station. The attacked defended himself with a hammer. This was preceded by an argument in a money exchange office. Thanks to quick video evaluation and a search, the 29-year-old was arrested near the scene of the crime. Nobody got hurt.

According to the federal police, the 34-year-old initially clashed with a woman in the exchange office. The previously uninvolved 29-year-old got involved, spat in the direction of the woman and threatened her. The 29-year-old waited in front of the shop for the 34-year-old, insulted and threatened him. Then he suddenly pulled a pocket knife with a blade length of six centimeters from his trouser pocket. The Pullacher backed away, but suddenly pulled a hammer out of his pants belt to dodge the knife attacks.

The 29-year-old homeless man fled, but was arrested shortly after the crime by police officers on Elisenstrasse. He had 20 grams of marijuana with him. The man entered Germany for the first time in August 2012, and his refugee status was revoked in 2022.
