Munich: Car thieves drift in Laimer parking garage – and almost fall – Munich

The three young men are said to have lost control while “drifting” in a Laimer parking garage. The car, which got stuck with only one wheel about ten meters above the abyss, turned out to be stolen a little later.

According to the police, three young men “drifted” with a stolen company car in a hardware store car park on Landesberger Strasse on Sunday morning. During the risky driving manoeuvre, the unknown driver lost control of the car. The car broke through the metal parapet on the top parking deck and got stuck with one wheel over the abyss – about ten meters high. The three occupants of the small car are said to have fled from the parking garage.

The police were able to arrest three suspects from Munich aged 18, 19 and 20 nearby. According to the police, it also turned out that the car had been stolen in the West End the day before. Two vehicles on the road below the multi-storey car park were damaged by falling parts in the accident. The three men were reported for car theft, property damage and trespassing.
