Munich: Budget freeze causes financing problems on the housing market – Munich

Yordanka Peteva had actually already put a relief in the search for an apartment, which is even more painful in Munich than anywhere else. The 55-year-old lives with her husband and two sons in an apartment on Westkreuz, from which she has to move out by the end of March due to her own use. The family searched unsuccessfully for a long time in the still tense Munich rental market, but then a solution suddenly appeared – in the form of the Wagnis housing cooperative. Yordanka Peteva was awarded a four-room apartment in Freiham, which will be ready for occupancy in February. “We were incredibly happy that we had this chance,” she says – her sad look alone reveals that there is a catch.
