Munich: Austro pop star Norbert Schneider in the Prinzregententheater – Munich

Actually, the Viennese singer Norbert Schneider is a purest blues player. After the violin, he discovered the guitar at 15, soon ended up in the house band of the Viennese blues bar “Papas Tapas” and in the touring bands of US stars such as Big Jay McNeely and Bernard Allison. Own albums, only with the Vienna City Blues Bandthen with your own band R&B Caravan followed, winning prizes and supporting him for B. B. King, Lou Reed or Simply Red. So far singing everything in English, in 2013 he found his own expression in the Viennese dialect. Since then he has sung there with three Amadeus’ – the Austrian Grammy – decorated albums with his own songs, but also Christmas carols or Georg Danzer interpretations, which merge the most diverse genres into an idiosyncratic Austro-Pop. In Austria he has been a star for a long time, now the jury of the German Record Prize has already compared him to Udo Jürgens, and so he plays the current program “So wie’s is” with a brilliantly cast band at least in the Prince Regent Theater.
