A saleswoman foiled a robbery at a supermarket in Munich’s Neuaubing district on Wednesday afternoon – and put her life in danger in the process. According to the police, an approximately 30-year-old, masked man entered the supermarket on Wiesentfelser Straße at around 3:15 p.m., went straight to the checkout and threatened a cashier there with a handgun. He demanded money from the woman – but the cashier grabbed the gunman’s hand and pushed the gun away. A scuffle then ensued, police said. When the cashier tried to hold the perpetrator, she fell and injured herself. The man stormed through several courtyards on a bicycle. Witnesses were able to follow him briefly, but lost sight of him in the area of ​​Freienfelsstrasse.
