A pensioner from Munich stabbed an acquaintance in a taxi on Monday evening with whom he was on the way home after a birthday party. The taxi driver could intervene. The criminal police have not yet found any clues as to the motive behind the crime. The attack happened around 7:50 p.m. when the taxi was driving out of town on Wasserburger Landstrasse.
According to the police, there was a short stopover because the 62-year-old had to leave. Shortly thereafter, there was a completely unexpected attack on the 64-year-old. The younger man injured his acquaintance in the neck with a knife known as a “Hirschfanger”. The taxi driver was able to take the stabbing tool away from the 62-year-old and call the police.
When officers arrived and arrested the 62-year-old, police said he put up considerable resistance. A police officer was slightly injured. The 64-year-old from the Ebersberg district was taken to a hospital with cut injuries. According to the police, there was no danger to life. Nevertheless, the public prosecutor’s office and Commissariat 11 are investigating attempted murder.
