It is probably Europe’s largest temporary use project and it is scheduled to start on October 15th. Then artists and creatives, the independent scene and social initiatives should be able to take over the Gasteig with their projects by the end of 2023, before the renovation begins there in 2024 at the earliest. The Philharmonie is now also part of the concept – whether the municipal vaccination center in the foyers can continue to operate or whether it has to move is still being examined.
