Construction machinery caught fire in Munich once again, this time at Südpark in Sendling. As police and fire departments report, a wheel loader caught fire on Inninger Strasse around 2:10 a.m. on the night of Christmas Day. Residents became aware of loud banging noises caused by burst tires and alerted the fire department. There was material damage of more than 50,000 euros. Police headquarters believe it is possible that the wheel loader was deliberately set on fire – like numerous other construction vehicles and equipment in the Munich area in recent months. The police are asking witnesses who have observed anything suspicious in the area of Inninger, Höglwörther and Holzhausener Straße to call 089/2910-0.
